A priest at Cosenza hospital found a baby lying in a sheet with it's umbilical cord still attached 20 hours after an abortion procedure. The child was still breathing and so was brought to the neonatal intensive care unit where it died almost two days after the botched abortion. Charges may be pending for infanticide indicating that the law may require doctors to try and save a child that survives an abortion meant to kill it only an instant before birth.

Thanks be to God for the five-year old living in Manchester after three failed attempts to abort him. It was good to end the story in the Telegraph on a good note. I'm sooooo angry at these women who carry for so long and then decide, especially after the baby isn't what they expect as far as health goes, that they want an abortion. In all such cases the mother's (and physicians who had a hand in the abortion procedure) should be jailed for life. We must pray unceasingly for these women to find the courage to accept the challenge of raising a baby who may have some defect at birth with the love Christ has and continues to show to humanity.
Thanks so much for this story, deacon.
